We were established in August 2004 through the merger of the former Shin-Nikka Kosan's trading division and the former Yokoo Chemical. Based on an understanding that environmental management is essential to running a business today, both companies had obtained and registered the ISO 14001 certification.
Following the merger, the environmental management system of the former Yokoo Chemical was inherited, and ISO 14001 certification was obtained and registered at the Tokyo Headquarters, the Osaka Unit, the Kitakyushu Headquarters, and the Plastics Department Office. • We increase sales and purchasing of various kinds of products that help to conserve and improve the environment. We comply with environment-related laws and regulations that are relevant to our business activities, self-imposed regulations, and so forth.
  
   
• Based on this Environmental Policy, we set environmental objectives and targets, periodically review their achievement statuses, and make efforts to further enhance and continuously improve our environmental management system.
  
   
• We keep all of our employees up-to-date regarding this Environmental Policy, and we promote educational activities in order to raise awareness about environmental conservation and promote activities leading to environmental conservation. We also make our Environmental Policy available to the public.
